I started on the Owl! I am so incredibly excited and nervous all at the same time.
I started with a 10″ x 10″ piece of evenweave and did a double fold hem with a simple running stitch to hold it. Once we got the size of Mr Owl just right and printed, I traced it onto the fabric using a light box. We lost some of the detail due to having to size it down quite a bit but I still love how it came out.

This is my first real embroidery stitching! I have done a lot of cross stitching but true embroidery has always been a bit intimidating for me. It took a couple of walkthroughs with Courtney to get the hang of it but once I got it, I was off and running. I am not sure if I want to do the fill before moving on to the next part or just outline the whole thing and then fill it.
Any embroiders out there to offer some insight?
